Programs
Jazz Band "A" is under the direction of Mr. Wilke and meets before school for a zero period class. This is an audition only ensemble.
Jazz Band "B" is under the direction of Mr. Elmore and is open to all students. This class meets as an after school 8th period class (Tuesdays - Semester 1 and Tuesday/Thursday - Semester 2).
Orchestra is under the direction of Mr. Elmore and meets 3rd period. This class is open to all string students. In the spring this class comes together with the wind players of the band and creates the Symphony Orchestra.
The Color Guard program is under the direction of Espi Tovar. The Color Guard/Winter Guard is open to all students and meets during 7th period as well as Mondays/Wednesdays and some Saturdays.
Marching Band is open to all students enrolled in a band class. It meets on Mondays/Thursdays and some Saturdays. The Marching Band is under the direction of: John Holmes, Chris Craig, Tanner Last, Jose Correa, Ali Gilroy, Mickey Murray, Mark Hammons, Caryl Marie-Saint, Gary Smith, Matt Smith, Espi Tovar, Shavon Garcia, Jaycee Wilson, Darren Stack, Adam Wilke and Phil Vallejo.
The Marching Band Show for Fall 2010 is entitled "Strength and Honor" an original composition by Ian Grom and John Mapes.
The Student Leaders for this year are drum majors; Jasmine Penuna, Janeen Tugas - Percussion Captains; Joey Staab, Clayton Briggs and Austin Sinatra - Color Guard Captains; Brooke Hope and Alex Tiscareno.
Wind Ensemble is an audition only ensemble. It meets on event days during 6th period and the class is taught by Mr. Vallejo and Mr. Wilke. The wind players of this band also serve as the wind section for the Symphony Orchestra in the Spring Semester.
Percussion is under the direction of Mark Hammons. This class meets during 6th period primarily. Percussion also meets on Thursday evenings in the fall.
